Dangerous criminal on the run in Wollongong

The hunt continues today for a man who escaped from police custody at Wollongong Hospital.

43 year old Jason Rees was arrested yesterday and taken to hospital for medical treatment, but he managed to get away, despite still being handcuffed.

He was last seen in a Sydney Roosters jersey and black shorts.

He has a number of tattoos, including a southern cross tattoo on his neck, and a scorpion tattoo on his left leg.

Anyone who spots Jason or has information about his whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Police have warned members of the public NOT to approach Jason, as he is considered dangerous.
