i98FM, the heart of the Illawarra, has once again solidified its position as the region’s most-listened-to radio station, according to the 2024 Xtra Research results.

The results illustrate that i98FM is the Station Most Listened To with 28.8% of Illawarra residents (aged 10+) choosing i98FM as their preferred station. This represents a significant lead over Wave FM, i98FM’s closest competitor at 21.8%.

Marty, Christian and Bella for Breakfast continued their reign receiving the highest ever listenership with 30.9% of the Illawarra audience making it the show of choice. This was further strengthened by Workdays with Cam, who saw a significant rise and yet again came out on top with 30.7% and 31.1% of listeners tuning into the Morning and Afternoon Shows respectively.

In the Drive slot, Maje Saba’s show continued to outperform Wave FM, attracting 27.6% of listeners compared to Wave FM’s 23.7%.

With a record total audience of 133,300, i98FM significantly outperforms all radio stations in the region with the closest rival, Wave FM, sitting at significantly less with 111,300 listeners.

Station listened to most 5:30am – 12 midnight, Mon – Sun.
