Living up to its reputation as an essential part of the fabric of the Illawarra, i98FM has continued its market dominance in the 2026 Xtra Insights Wollongong #1 Survey Results.

The station claims a market-leading 26.5% overall listener share (People 10+), a decisive lead over its nearest competitor, Wave FM (24.0%). i98FM now reaches a total audience of 120,000 listeners, reflecting a major boost of 13,200 new listeners across the station and remains the region’s top radio choice across every major timeslot.

Christian and Bella dominate Breakfast, with an increase of 3.4, taking their market share to 28% - also enjoying a 9,200 increase in cumulative audience.

Nath in Workdays held strong, scoring 25.6% in Mornings and 28.6% in Afternoons.

i98FM’s long-standing Drive Show with Maje, continued its stellar run with a 26.5% market share in comparison with Wave FM’s 24.5%.
