Two Illawarra exposure sites listed as Covid outbreak grows

The list of Covid exposure sites in the Illawarra has grown, as health authorities in New South Wales scramble to contain the spread of a coronavirus outbreak which has jumped to six cases.

An alert has been issued for anyone who visited Baby Bunting on Range Road in Shellharbour on Friday June 18 between 4.30pm - 5.15pm.

Anyone in the store at the time must call NSW Health, get tested immediately and self-isolate.

The Broken Drum Cafe in Fairy Meadow is also an exposure site, after it was visited by a Sydney man who's a confirmed case.

Anyone at the cafe on Friday June 18 between 10.20am -10.40am is considered a casual contact and must get tested immediately and self-isolate.

To help meet expected demand for increased testing in the Illawarra, the region's private testing clinics, including a number of drive-throughs, have extended their hours.

Visit the Illawarra-Shoalhaven Local Health District website for a full list of clinics and updates.

Meantime, there have been no new local cases in Victoria from more than 19,000 tests. Two returned travellers in hotel quarantine have been diagnosed.

A Covid-19 update for NSW will be provided by the Premier at 11am today.
