Trio on the run after Wollongong robbery

Police are investigating an armed robbery in Wollongong overnight. 

Three men armed with knives allegedly threatened an employee at a service station on Crown Street around 11.10pm, before fleeing with cash.

They were last seen heading toward Woodlawn Avenue.

All men were wearing hooded jumpers and had their face and hands covered. 

Anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area is being urged to come forward.

Inquiries are continuing.
