For the 24 hour period to 8pm, Wednesday July 28 there were four new COVID-19 cases recorded for the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.
All four cases are residents of Wollongong Local Government Area, with further details as follows:
The source of one of the new cases is under investigation. This case is currently isolating outside the Local Health District.
Three new cases are close contacts of the case announced for the Local Health District yesterday. These three cases are all isolating at home.

Two cases who are residents of the Wollongong Local Government Area and are close contacts of a previously announced case. Both cases are isolating at home. One new case who is a resident of the Wollongong Local Government Area and has now been linked to a known Sydney case. This case is isolating at home.
There are no local COVID-19 cases currently hospitalised.
