i98FM are the proud player partner for Illawarra Hawks’ LaMelo Ball!

i98FM is very excited to announce that we will continue to be a proud media sponsor for the Illawarra Hawks 2019/2020 NBL season, as well as the official Hawks player partner for American basketball sensation, LaMelo Ball!

LaMelo, who signed with the Hawks earlier this year, is considered a top prospect for the 2020 NBA Draft.

During the announcement on-air with Marty, Christie and Crammy, he said of his time in the Illawarra so far, “It’s been nice out here, the weather is good and everybody around here’s nice - it’s a real good vibe”.

i98FM, along with parent company the WIN Network, have a long history with the Illawarra Hawks, having been a media partner for over 25 years. WIN Network CEO Andrew Lancaster commented, “We’re proud of our on-going association with the Illawarra Hawks and are excited for the season ahead. Having a global talent like LaMelo Ball on the roster is a real coup for the team and the league in general. We can’t wait to see him hit the court and it’s our honour to be his official Hawks player partner.”

The first Hawks home game of the season is on Sunday, October 6 at the WIN Entertainment Centre with tickets on sale now through Ticketmaster. However LaMelo will take to the court in the first of the team’s pre-season games at The Snakepit this Saturday night against the Australian Indigenous All-Stars.
