Today, His Boy Elroy has announced it will open a second location in the new Shell Cove Marina precinct later this year.
At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, His Boy Elroy identified an opportunity to not only grow its operation and expand its workforce, but also test the growing Shellharbour market, subsequently opening a pop-up location on Addison Street.
His Boy Elroy Owner, Lachlan Stevens, said the support received from the Shellharbour community at the start of the pandemic is testament to the brand's strong connection with the area and choosing Shell Cove as the location for the second store was a no brainer.
"We knew we would be popular, but quickly realised we underestimated how much people lovedour product.
In a sense, I feel we were underprepared for the appetite of customers to supportindependent and local businesses like ours."
"It wasn't a matter of if, it was a matter of when we came back permanently and the beautiful Shell Cove Marina gives us an opportunity to create an experience for our customers which is unique and complimentary to the other operators in the Marina"
"We will be bringing the same awesome burgers, beers, cocktails and sport with a new flare in thismassive space overlooking the beautiful marina.
It will also allow us to expand the footprint of ourMen’s mental health charity - The Barstool Brothers - and support a whole range of grassrootssporting clubs in the region."
The landlord and owner of the Waterfront Tavern and Georgia Rose Andrew Denmeade said;"It is important for us to create a precinct of local and independent offerings which not only attractlocals, but also tourists visiting this beautiful part of the Illawarra. His Boy Elroy will certainly add toour diverse offering and we are excited to work together to drive visitation to the precinct into thefuture"Construction on the venue will start in June and is expected to be completed in late-August.
