The 120th anniversary of the Mount Kembla mine disaster will be held this weekend.
The incident occurred on the 31st of July in 1902, when a large section of an unsupported roof collapsed - pushing air and methane gas into the main tunnel.
It led to several explosions, with 94 men and boys - some as young as 14 passing away, along with two rescuers.
It remains Australia's worst mining disaster, with a ceremony to be held at the Windy Gully cemetery on Sunday evening.
