A GoFundMe Campaign to shout Wollongong Hospital staff coffee has raised more than $6000

A gofund me page created to shout all staff at Wollongong Hospital a coffee has now raised more than $6000

North Wollongong local, Justine McKenna set up the page last week with a goal of raising two thousand dollars to show support for health care workers.

As of 6:30pm on Tuesday, she has raised $6284.

When the campaign ends, the funds will be donated to Charlotte Cafe in the hospital for all staff to grab a coffee for free.

After the page was shared on facebook, the donations continued to roll in, with many locals leaving heartwarming comments on the page.

Matthew Connelly donated and commented, "buy them a coffee to say thanks, sure. I can't remember how many times Wollongong hospital has patched up my kids."

While Fletcher Thompson said, "because none of the rest of us are being called upon to pull extra long shifts, save lives and risk our own health all at the same time."

Tim Savage also praised the staff, commenting "just spent a night in Wollongong hospital. Staff have been fantastic."

Justine says if people keep donating she plans to shout Shoalhaven hospital staff a coffee too.
