Until the age of three, Chloe Saxby from Woonona was running around living a healthy and happy life. She lost the use of her legs overnight, and after an agonising eight months of testing, Chloe was diagnosed with Vanishing White Matter Disease (VWM), VWM is an extremely rare, degenerative and terminal brain disease that affects mostly children where a bump to the head, a temperature, a cold or even a fright could threaten Chloe’s life.
Nearly 10, Chloe has lost the ability to walk but continues to be a ray sunshine in people’s lives. Having witnessed Chloe’s journey and knowing that VWM threatens to paralyse her body further, Subway Franchise partners Wayne and Trish McDougall are organising the rally so that a cure can be found as quickly as possible.
