A woman in her 50s has been killed after the four-wheel drive she was in ran off a cliff at Wilton and crashed into a gorge.
Police were called to Sheil Road just before 12.45pm yesterday and found the victim - paramedics tried to revive her but she died at the scene.
No-one else was injured during the incident.
It's the second death on our roads this long weekend - a 50-year-old motorcyclist has been killed after crashing his bike into water near Goulburn.
Meantime, drivers heading home from a school holiday break or a long weekend getaway are being advised traffic in and out of the Illawarra will be heavy.
Double demerits are in force until midnight tonight.
Major arterial roads will be clogged, particularly through Albion Park Rail.
