The Federal Government is preparing to unveil more resources to strengthen Australia's response to terrorism.
A new frontbench position is expected to be created this week, to combat Islamic radicalisation and liaise with Muslim leaders.
It comes as two more Australians are believed to have fled the country to join the Islamic State in the Middle East.
Investigations are underway into whether a 23-year-old Brisbane man has taken up arms with the terror group.
There are also reports a 26-year-old mother from Western Sydney has abandoned her two children and gone to Syria.
