Kiama's reputation as a popular surfing destination has been given another boost, after Council approved a three-year sponsorship deal with Surfing NSW.
It will bring five major surfing events to the region along with eight education and coaching programs to Kiama - which are expected to inject an extra $370,000 into the local economy each year.
Over 500 people are expected to visit the town for the five events which include the Body Boarding State Titles.
