ACLW’s 2017 International Women’s Day Event in the Illawarra

ACLW’s Illawarra IWD EVENT Details

Registration 9 am. Concludes 12.35pm

Nan Tien Temple Auditorium 180 Berkeley Road, Berkeley NSW (See no. 9 on adjacent map). It is located on the left hand side of the Main Shrine 9 (no 8 on map).
The Nan Tien Temple is the largest Buddhist Temple in the Southern Hemisphere. 


To celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) 2017 in the Illawarra, the Australian Centre for Leadership for Women (ACLW) invites you to celebrate this day with Illawarra women leaders participating in a program of reflective and explorative conversations and presentations from Illawarra High School Students on the theme, Gaining the Unexpected.
Highlights of this Program include a Panel of Illawarra women leaders of ages ranging from 16 to 80 with diverse achievements and life experiences that have shaped their capacity for leadership.
Best High School Student Authors selected in the Senior and Junior ACLW Illawarra IWD Essay Writing Competition will present their essays on this theme. The Program will be interspersed with Illawarra’s talented singers, dancers and drummers.
Founded in 2000, ACLW’s signature platforms to Transform; Empower; Recognise and Give Back for women’s advancement and gender equality has resulted in a range of national leadership development and recognition programs as profiled at www.leadershipforwomen.com.au Dr Diann Rodgers-Healey, Director of ACLW will facilitate this Program to profile and celebrate the unique leadership of women in the Illawarra. Funds raised from this Program will be used to enable ACLW advance its initiatives for women.
